Trump Entertainment Resorts’ CEO described a renovation plan for their three old casinos. Last week, the executive declared in a press conference in Las Vegas that the company will try to capitalize the different styles of each of them in order to attract a great number of players and bring their trademarks back lo life.

“We all know that Trump casinos have suffered through the years”, said James B. Perry, a veteran gambling executive who became President and CEO of the enterprise last July.

Perry described a reconstruction plan post bankruptcy for the three old casinos they own, which includes the necessary reforms, expansion projects and a campaign designed to revive the brand and attract clients to it.

The Trump Taj Mahal Casino & Resort will target high rollers, competing with Borgata Hotel, Casino & Spa. Improvements to Trump’s building consist of an expansion project of U$S 250 million that will add an 800-room hotel tower, due in Summer 2008.

The Trump Plaza Hotel & Casino will renew its 80s decoration. Works will start this Fall by remodeling the entrance. Long-term plans include a new tower and possibly the demolition of one of the Plaza towers so as to build a new hotel and casino.

Finally, the strategy for the Trump Marina Hotel & Casino focuses on a change of looks. Taking advantage of its location, looking out onto the bay, they intend to create a more appropriate environment for suburban gamblers from New Jersey, Pennsylvania and New York, said Perry.
