We all are used to spam emails that come to our inboxes and normally we know what to do with them: erase them immediately. Sometimes, however, one of them looks intriguing enough to open it and this is exactly what happens with a new roulette system that is circulating in the net and that leads to believe it’s a good way of defeating the bank.
Since roulette became popular in the 18th century in France, there have been several attempts to create systems that can beat the roulette. Some of them have showed some benefits in the short term but they have finally led to bankruptcy.
Roulette is a game of chance and has to be played as such, as a way of entertainment that gives us a chance to win some money. Roulette players know that in a good night they’ll win and in a bad night they’ll lose. They don’t play roulette in the hope of becoming rich but they just play because they enjoy it, as a hobby not as a job.
There are no professional roulette players. Many people have tried to make a fortune playing roulette using a wide range of strategies and systems, but there’s no documented case of winners in the long term.
The roulette system that is currently going around the net is based on two completely fake principles: that the result of the turn of the wheel can be influenced by the result of previous turns and that the progressive betting system works well and has good results.
A progressive betting system bases the amount of each bet on the results of a previous bet. Although this system can be very complex, the simplest type of this system is known as Martingale System. This system recommends doubling the bet after each lost bet. For example, if we bet $10 on black and win, we’ll win $10, if we lose, we’ll raise our bets to $20. If we win, we’ll win $10. If we lose, then we have to raise to $40 and so on. The theory is that sooner or later the wheel will show a red number. The fallacy is the certainty that it will stop in a red number before we bet all our bankroll.
The other fallacy in this system is that the result of a roulette wheel turn depends on previous results. This is justified with several pages of statistics and calculations which apparently convince but that end up being ridiculous.
